Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child daughter of Richard McCormick. Her parents were her mother, who was an housewife, and her father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and often performed plays with puppets for the kids in her community. When she was just six years old, young, she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she'd like to go into the show business. McCormick got her first big work in 1964, when she appeared in a commercial on television for Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for the show Wind It up and It's Broken by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children for the part of the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. The show ran for five seasons. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene; he was 19. The timing would not have worked for us, she told me.
